Ingredients

Instructions

  1. First, use a melon baller to scoop small balls out of an apple.
  2. Then stick tall toothpicks into each apple ball.
  3. Next, melt the chocolate according to the packaging instructions. Set to the side to cool slightly.
  4. Using a clean, dry cloth, pat dry each apple ball. *(1)
  5. Next, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Dip each apple ball in the dark chocolate and shake gently off the excess chocolate, set on the parchment paper, and let the chocolate harden.
  7. Then, melt the caramel bits according to their packaging instructions, and let it cool slightly.
  8. Drizzle the caramel on each of the chocolate apple balls and top with your favorite toppings, like chopped peanuts and sprinkles.
  9. Enjoy! *(2)

Notes

  1. This helps the apple be less juicy/wet and allows the chocolate to stick better to it.
  2. I prefer to make and eat these on the same day, but you can place them in the fridge and eat them the next day, similar to my caramel apple slices. Click here for my Caramel Apple Slices recipe, and click here for extra tips and tricks on when to make them and how to store them.
