I can hear the rain outside, the fragrant scent of garlic filling our kitchen, the sizzling sound of cold milk being poured into the hot pan.

This Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta is an easy recipe filled with creamy comforting flavors that you can make in under 15 minutes!
- Prep Time: 2
- Cook Time: 13
- Total Time: 15
- Yield: 4 Cups Cooked Pasta *(2) 1x
Ingredients
- 8 Ounces Pasta, uncooked
- 2 Tablespoons Salted Butter
- 2–4 Garlic Cloves, minced *(1)
- 3 Tablespoon Flour
- 1/4 Cup Vegetable Broth
- 1 & 1/4 Cups Whole Milk
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan, grated
- Salt & Pepper, to taste
Toppings
- Fresh Parsley
- Parmesan, finely grated
Instructions
- First, cook the pasta according to the packaging instructions.
- While the pasta is cooking, melt the 2 tablespoons butter and cook the minced garlic in a saute pan over medium heat for 1 minute or until fragrant.
- Next whisk in the 3 tablespoons flour to create a roux and then whisk in the vegetable broth.
- Slowly add in the 1 & 1/4 cups of milk, whisking continuously to create a creamy mixture.
- Once it begins to simmer mix in the 1/2 cup parmesan along with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to whisk until the cheese has melted into the cream.
- Turn off the heat, stir in the drained pasta, and top your Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta with fresh parsley and parmesan. Enjoy!
Notes
- This depends on the size of your garlic cloves and how much you love garlic. I prefer lots of garlic, but Roger not so much. So I either go with 2 large garlic cloves or 3 regular to small garlic cloves when making it for the two of us.
- A serving is 1/2 cup cooked pasta, so technically this recipe serves 8, but if you like to serve delicious heaping piles of pasta (like I do) I recommend doubling the recipe when serving 4-5 people.
I hope you enjoy your Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta!
