January Traffic & Income Report

I don’t know why it has taken me so long to come to this conclusion, but over the last month I have been watching my statistics & I realized something. While I am super happy about how many views I received in a month that I thought was going to be a record low, I realized that a majority of my views are coming from outside sources. Although thats great & I love all of the visitors I need to figure out how to turn visitors into long time friends.

I share my posts on a variety of sites each month & while it takes quite a bit of work to increase views I have noticed that it is definitely worth the work. Unfortunately, it does take a lot of work trying to grow my social media accounts as well as posting/submitting to a lot of different websites. My ultimate goal is to be a stay at home mom blogger. My dream is to grow my consistent readership before we start a family, so that when we do I can spend less time on the internet promoting my site & more time with my family. When this day comes my goal is to continue posting 3-5 times a week, sharing these posts on all of my social media accounts, while limiting my submissions to just the top websites. So in a step towards growing my readership I’ve started leaving a short message at the bottom of each post inviting people to stay connected with Domestically Blissful on FacebookInstagram, & Twitter in hopes that this will encourage people to stick around.

So moving on, I am really excited about the record number of page views I had this last month. January turned out to be wonderful – what a great way to start to the new year! As you can see only 12.8% of my visitors had been to my site before, which is approximately 3,653 of my visitors.

I would love to see more of my views coming from at least one of social media sources, like Facebook. Although I have 963 followers on Facebook I did not have enough sessions started from facebook to make it to the top ten list – in a whole month! So sad! So if you haven’t gotten the hint yet… I’d love to have you follow along on Facebook & we can be friends for life!

What started January off with such a bang was the New Years Matches Sign that I posted at the end of December. However the majority of my views are still going towards my Creamy Chicken Noodle Soup, mainly because it has been pinned & repined many times – thank you Pinterest!

Income Report

Although the price per ad went down after the holiday season the increase in views helped increase January’s income.

Income:

Gourmet Ads: $78.17

Amazon Affiliate Program: $28.80

Chitika: $3.40

Total: $110.37

  1. I am amazed at your stats – congrats! Just trying to get some traction on my blog so I will aspire to hopefully one day get remotely close to these views. Thanks for sharing. Makes me realize it can be possible. Off to figure out this social media thing which I suck at 🙂
