DIY Rosemary Christmas Tree Ice to make your drinks more festive this holiday season.

When I saw the viral Rosemary Christmas Tree Ice I knew I had to try it, but with a fun twist… Edible glitter!

Of course, I forgot about gravity when I added it to the cup.

When I first added the water to the cup the glitter twirled and swirled magically in the cup as I added the rosemary to the center.

But by the time both cups were ready to be put in the freezer the glitter had settled at the base of the cup.

So I added an extra sprinkle on top so that the rosemary trees were all glittery.

Making it both pretty for guests when they pick up the glass and also extra sparkly when drinks are poured on top.

A few minutes after the drink is added the ice floats to the top and you have a little floating iceberg Christmas tree.

Of course, what goes up, must come down.

In the beginning, I was disappointed that all of the sparkles were frozen to the bottom of the ice, but this ended up being a fun party trick.

Because as the ice melted you could see a trickle of sparkles streaming out of the ice and into the drink.

And then the bubbles of the spiced cranberry soda made the white edible glitter swirl so beautifully, almost like an edible/drinkable snowglobe!

So now I’ve got to ask, do you call it soda or pop?

Ps. If I were writing this as I naturally speak I would have called it “soda pop”. I think this may have to do with my people-pleasing personality.
