This Gift Bag Tissue Paper Hack is super simple and helps make gift bags look a little extra special.

Growing up I remember thinking it was so funny that my grandma (whom I called Oma) would save wrapping paper.
She would open her presents so carefully, fold the paper up very nicely, and then go around the room picking up everyone else’s wrapping paper to salvage for next year’s gifts.
And while those memories still bring back such a special memory that also makes me chuckle a little bit, I’ve come to realize that genetics are a funny thing.
Call me crazy if you want, but I love to reuse tissue paper (if it’s not torn up).
I have a whole basket of folded-up tissue paper that I keep next to our wrapping paper and gift bags that I can pull from as needed.
So when I shared this little hack last year, I was suprsied that people thought I used too many pieces of tissue paper and that they would just get thrown out.
For some reason I thought everyone reused tissue paper like they did gift bags.
And that’s when I realized that I am a copy of my Oma and that most people don’t save those things for future gifts.
But I guess that makes the memory all the more special and I hope that my future grandchildren will also share some of my quirks that they too will cherish at Christmastime.

There is surely a future hope for you,
and your hope will not be cut off.Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.

I reuse tissue paper too… sometimes I even iron it to smooth it out! 🙂 Why use new if they will just toss it??
Love this idea and am definitely going to try! By the way, I save our untorn tissue paper, too 🙂
