5 Reasons to Experience a Helicopter Tour of Maui during your Hawaii vacation to make it extra special.
Earlier this year Roger and I were thrilled to experience a helicopter tour of Maui!
Going on a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tour has been on our bucket list for years.
While we are blessed to have visited Maui on several occasions, this was the first time to have the opportunity to experience Maui from the sky.
And let me tell you, this was the absolute highlight of our trip!
So for those who may be planning a trip soon, and trying to decide what to do, I thought it would be fun to share with you 5 Reasons to Experience a Helicopter Tour of Maui!
1. Get a Bird’s Eye View of Maui
While exploring Maui is already incredible, seeing the island from the sky is a wonderful and unique experience!
Through Blue Hawaiian, there are a variety of tour options so that you can choose just the right one for you.
We chose one that toured West Maui and Molokai because we wanted to see some of the location spots from Jurassic Park.
2. Learn Fun & Interesting Facts
While flying with Blue Hawaiian, we learned some amazing facts about the island and the different locations we flew over.
Everything ranging from the landscape and nature to where different movies were filmed to the history of Maui.
They give you comfortable headphones to wear on the flight so that you can learn from the pilot and ask questions about what you see.
3. Observe Beautiful Ocean Creatures
Although we weren’t there during peak whale season (we had just missed it), we were able to catch a glimpse of a couple of whales, manta rays, turtles, and sharks!
Depending on which season you visit Maui, what the weather is like, and which tour you choose, you could see any number of beautiful ocean dwellers.
4. See Unaccessable Hidden Gems of Maui
The tour we chose took us to so many places that we could not have ever seen or experienced outside of a helicopter.
We flew across the ocean to a second island, saw gorgeous waterfalls, and deep valleys between high mountains.
I was oohing and awwing over everything!
5. Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience
Flying on a helicopter in Maui is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you won’t want to miss.
Which is one of the reasons we chose Blue Hawaiian!
They have an incredible reputation (they are in the Jurassic Park movies), and their helicopters are designed for seeing great views out of their large windows.
Roger and I both rank this as our favorite thing that we did while visiting Maui and we are so glad that we were finally able to fly above this gorgeous island.
