5 perks to staying at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort during your Disney World vacation.
Earlier this month Roger & I spent 3 wonderful nights at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in Florida.
We had been wanting to stay at this property for some time now & since we had planned on spending two days park hopping in Disney we decided that this was a perfect time!
And guess what? We loved it!
We’ve stayed at a couple of other Disney World resorts over the last few years & this one has been my favorite thus far!
We actually loved it so much we are considering taking another trip this fall to Disney World for a night or two & staying here again.
So I thought I’d share some of my favorite perks with you that come with staying at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort to help you as you plan your next Disney World vacation.
1. Great Location
The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is in a great location!
You can get to either Epcot or Hollywood Studios by walking or by a water taxi.
With all the walking we were already doing we always opted for the free ride by the water taxi, but from the picture above you can see just how close you are to the parks.
From our room, we were able to see both the fireworks from the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular at Hollywood Studios & the IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot.
Plus I loved how quick & easy it was to get from our resort to each of these parks in the morning.
2. Modern Room
This is by far the nicest room that I’ve stayed in on Disney property.
While some of the other properties have more of a Disney theme with Disney character wallpaper in the rooms, I definitely preferred the more modern & up to date styling & decor of the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort.
The room felt fresh, clean, modern, & more like a resort room that you would expect for a moderately priced Disney resort.
Our room was on a corner off of the main pyramid & we had 2 balconies which allowed us to take in the sights of 2 of the firework shows at Disney.
The room itself was spacious & we spent our last morning just relaxing in this beautiful room.
3. Extra Magic Hours
One of my favorite perks for staying on Disney property is that you get Extra Magic Hours so that you can get into the park early or stay later in the park than the general admission tickets.
Be sure to check the official Disney schedule while planning your vacation so that you know which parks have Extra Magic Hours during your stay at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort!
4. Marriott Benefits
If you have a Marriott Rewards® Premier Plus Credit Card you will be excited to know that the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is a Marriott property!
This means you can earn 6X points per $1 spent while enjoying the magic of Disney.
I definitely enjoyed the perks of being able to stay at a Marriott resort on Disney World property!
5. My Disney Experience & FastPass+
One of the awesome perks of staying here is that you get early access on My Disney Experience to set up your FastPass+ 60 days in advance.
If you aren’t staying at a Disney resort you can’t reserve attractions until 30 days prior to your trip, but when staying at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort you can start setting them up as early as 60 days in advance!
This means you’ll have a better chance at getting a FastPass+ for rides that normally have 1+ hour waits.
Now that’s a big advantage!!
