Years ago, well before we had children, I learned about the Four Gifts of Christmas Tradition and fell in love with the idea.
I couldn’t wait to start our family and create special Christmas traditions with them.
So last year, when our son was only 2 months old, we began this Christmas gift tradition.
The four gifts for Christmas rule includes Something You Want, Something You Need, Something to Wear, and Something to Read.
I love that this tradition helps curb the more, More, MORE of Christmas and helps parents, guardians, caretakers, and grandparents narrow down the gifts to a few choice items of value.
Not only does this help with the expense of Christmas, but it also alleviates much of the stress.
No wondering “Did I get enough?” or “Does everyone have the same amount of presents?”
This Christmas gift tradition not only simplifies family gift-giving, but it also leaves more room for families to emphasize the true meaning of Christmas.
The most precious gift of all. The gift of love and humility in the form of a Baby. Christ is the true meaning of Christmas.
