I am so excited!! This is going to be a summer to remember!

Roger will be graduating this weekend from dental school. Then 1 & 1/2 weeks later the movers will be coming to pack up our stuff & put it in storage. Then we will be gypsies for a month, living with family, until we close on our first house mid-July. Soon after this Roger will begin working & we will settle into a hot summer in Tennessee.

Although we have a basic plan for the summer, we plan on celebrating each moment that summer brings. No matter how big or small, each moment should be celebrated with family & a cool drink, especially a tasty one from Milo’s NEW line of Cafe Style Teas!

So to share my excitement for this summer I have created a list of 10 Ways to Celebrate Summer that are perfect for enjoying a tall glass of Milo’s Cafe Style Tea. This little summer bucket list pairs perfectly with the affordable all-natural organic & great tasting Milo’s Cafe Style Teas because they are a delicious go-to drink for every moment that summer brings.

We packed up our Milo’s Cafe Style Teas from Walmart in our cooler, which I found in the refrigerated juice & dairy section due to the tea being all natural (no preservatives), & brought them down to the Florida Keys with us to enjoy with family in the hot summer sun.

The Millers have been vacationing in the Keys every summer since my husband was a child, & I love that the tradition has continued even as the family has grown with more spouses & 10+ grandchildren.

It was so nice to spend some time in the Keys with our family relaxing & soaking up the sun. All of my nieces & nephews are growing up so fast & I want to make sure that I make as many memories with them as I can before they are all grown up.

Some of my favorite memories from this trip included paddle boarding (my first time) at Bahia Honda State Park, going boating on the ocean to a great snorkeling spot, snuggling my sweet nieces, eating (it’s my favorite part of every ~~trip~~ day), & this fun Milo’s Cafe Style Tea photoshoot with Roger. I’m addicted to taking pictures of everything & I think Roger has caught the photo bug too!

10 Ways to Celebrate Summer

1. Go star gazing.

There’s nothing better than snuggling on top of a cozy blanket after a long hot day.

2. Have a barbecue.

I might be a vegetarian, but I love a good barbecue! I love summer veggies all grilled up along with a messy veggie burger, & an ice cold glass of Light Sweet Tea by Milo’s!

3. Go to the fair.

I have some wonderful memories with Roger in Ohio visiting the local fair with his family.

4. Picnic it up.

A picnic in your favorite park with all of your friends & family is a great way to celebrate summer. Have everyone bring their favorite picnic food & drinks, like Milo’s Cafe Style Tea!

5. Go boating.

One of my favorite ways to cool off on a hot summer day is by jumping on the boat with a bag full of snacks & a cooler full of Milo’s Cafe Style Teas!

6. Pick fresh fruit & berries.

Both my mom & Rog’s mom have huge gardens. Since the frogs nearly give me a heart attack in the vegetable garden anytime I go near them, I prefer to stick to their berry bushes. Although I must admit I spend as much time eating the berries as I do picking them!

7. Summer reading.

This was one of my favorite things to do in the summer as a kid. While school reading lists were never that great, I always had my own summer reading collection to pour over under the cool air of the porch fan.

8. Be a beach bum.

A classic trip to the beach. Of course no trip to the beach is complete without a colorful umbrella, lot’s of sunscreen, & something to hydrate you & keep you cool in the hot sun!

9. Go backpacking/hiking.

Trees have always fascinated me & in the summer when their green leafy branches dance in the breeze I am always mesmerized. I love going for hikes in the summer under their shade looking for a babbling brooke to play in!

10. Catch fireflies.

One of my favorite things to do with my nieces & nephews in the summer is to catch (& release) fireflies. It’s magical.

Of course there are many more Ways to Celebrate Summer, but these are a few of my favorites that I love to enjoy doing with my family & friends each year.

And while I don’t know all of what summer will bring this year, you can be sure it will be filled with family & friends, blistering humid heat, late nights, & sweet tea!
