Christmas has officially arrived in our living room!
In years past I have decorated with neutrals and/or soft pink, silver, and gold accents.
But last year, after having our son, I decided that I wanted to start adding more classic accents to our Christmas decor.
So I incorporated forest green into our bedroom Christmas decor, small hints of red to our kitchen Christmas decor, and now both green and wine red into our living room Christmas decor!
I had more elements of red and green on our built-ins, but I decided that (at least for this year), I wanted to keep the accent colors minimal so that they really popped on the sofas, fireplace, and wreaths.
We chose not to decorate our Flocked Christmas Tree as this would be more of an undertaking than either of us was ready to take on.
This tree is gorgeous on its on!
Plus we have a tree in our family room that is our “family tree” that will be decorated with homemade and family ornaments.
And while I would have loved to have had a roaring fire for these photos, the temps reach up to the 80’s the day I filmed and photographed this room.
So instead I opted to add some fairy lights to give the fireplace a warm glow.
They are so fun to turn on in the evenings.
I can’t wait to share a nighttime view of this room coming soon!
