We are so excited to share that our family is growing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Secondary infertility caught us off guard but after 3 rounds of Clomid + HCG each time, a Sono-HSG to help clean out the fallopian tubes, and an IUI, our dream of growing our family is coming true!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I barely had any morning sickness with little Roger, only when I spent time working on my phone or computer, but 2 weeks after my IUI (before my 3-week pregnancy test) I started experiencing morning sickness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were so hopeful I was pregnant!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then something happened that made us think I may have had a miscarriage, and after this incident, all of my morning sickness disappeared. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was devastated and so sad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were sure I wasn’t pregnant anymore. (I couldn’t take a pregnancy test as the additional HCG hormones would make it appear positive no matter what the reality was.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So when I went into my doctor’s office for the pregnancy test, we had no hope, I even posted a story that morning thanking you all for your continued love, support, and prayers for us as we struggle with infertility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had no hope of a positive result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know it sounds like we had no faith, but we were trying to be realistic in our expectations while continuing to pray for a future positive outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So when I received a text that we had a message in the portal, I fully expected it to say the same thing it had the last several times.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the past, before opening up their message I would say a prayer for peace and hope, but this time, I felt I knew the results. I was disappointed but at peace that it would be a no, so I just opened it quickly to get it over with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I saw the words “YOU ARE PREGNANT! Congratulations!!!” I was beyond shocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I didn’t know what to do except call Roger on repeat until he finally answered, he was out at our new house working hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We wanted to tell everyone immediately, but since my morning sickness had gone away, we decided to wait until we had heard a heartbeat to start sharing with our close family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During that time the morning sickness came back with a vengeance, which made us so hopeful but it also made things extra difficult since we are currently renting from my parents until our house is done (hopefully this November!) and we went on a week-long vacation with Roger’s family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was so hard to keep it a secret with how I was feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So hearing the heartbeat was such a huge relief and gave us so much hope!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And once the secret was out with our family we couldn’t wait to share it with you all, but we decided to wait to share until my sister had shared their pregnancy (we planned to wait a few weeks after they announced their pregnancy – I had so much fun taking their pregnancy announcement photos!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But then the worst thing happened to my sister and she went through a terrible miscarriage. (ps. I have permission to share this.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve been so incredibly heartbroken for her and her husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We didn’t feel comfortable sharing (for many reasons) our pregnancy news, so we decided to wait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also had a miscarriage scare 2 weeks to the day and hour after my sister went through her miscarriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We rushed to the doctors at 2:00 am when I woke up very wet and there was a surprising amount of blood when I went to the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ended up on a medication twice a day and was beyond loopy for a week (so worth it!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we decided to wait a little longer to share our pregnancy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Just last week, we had our 20-week appointment, we heard the heartbeat, and had the official anatomy scan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I say official because two different people at two different ultrasounds told us two very different genders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We do now officially know the gender and may share soon, but don’t worry, it will be a pretty low-key gender announcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I’m sure some of you all probably already guessed that I’m pregnant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last 6 months, I’ve often talked about how I’m trying to get way ahead in content creation before we move because I was hoping to get ahead in case we got pregnant. (I’m finishing up Christmas content this week and Valentine’s content should be done in 2-3 weeks from now) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started going into overdrive with work when I found out I was pregnant, as I would love to have at least 3 week’s maternity leave after I give birth (I looked back at pictures and it looks like I took 1-2 weeks off after giving birth to little Roger.), which means I’ll be posting tutorials\/recipes post pregnancy that were filmed while I was pregnant and I will be HUGE!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I finally hired a new virtual assistant whom I am beyond grateful for so that I can start slowing down a bit during the second half of my pregnancy and things will not come to a halt after I give birth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
